Manchester City have enjoyed a dominant run in recent years compared to their cross-town rivals Manchester United, with immense success on the pitch under Pep Guardiola and exponential growth as a global brand. Now, the club once dubbed the “noisy neighbors” has surpassed the Red Devils with the biggest sponsorship deal in Premier League history thanks to a record-breaking partnership with Puma.

Since their collaboration began in the 2019–20 season, Puma has been part of the most successful era in Manchester City’s history. Over the past eight years, Guardiola’s side has won six Premier League titles and completed a historic treble, including the coveted UEFA Champions League. The renewed deal signals the beginning of a new chapter in their partnership.

Manchester City have announced a new 10-year deal with Puma, worth £100 million per season. Valued at a total of £1 billion, the agreement becomes the largest sponsorship contract ever signed by a Premier League club.

This record-setting deal surpasses the previous benchmark set by Manchester United in June 2023, when they signed a £900 million, 10-year agreement with Adidas. That figure now stands second to City’s landmark contract.

Manchester City and Puma: A partnership built to last

Puma, which is also a partner of City Football Group, has cultivated a strong relationship with Manchester City—one that is now locked in for the foreseeable future. Ferran Soriano, Chief Executive Officer of City Football Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the record-breaking renewal:

We joined forces with PUMA with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons,” Soriano told Manchester City’s official website.

PUMA have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we’ve enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally. Today’s renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future,” Soriano concluded.
